How to play Scorpion Solitaire
Take a moment with Scorpion Solitaire before moving to another game. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Treat the first round as a chance to learn the controls. Use the example below to understand a decision.
Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.
Try a deliberate move
After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Notice the feedback after each input.
Your goal
Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Try to explain the aim in your own words.
Step by step
- Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.
A useful example
The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Check the stated objective.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
