How to play Mini Golf

Try Mini Golf at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Begin with the solo mode shown on the page. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls.

Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.

Focus on one rule

Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow. Keep the objective visible.

Your goal

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Take a moment to understand the current position.

Step by step

  1. Aim a stopped ball.
  2. Set power and putt.
  3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
  4. Use Next hole after sinking.

Controls

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Look for the relevant detail.

Watch out for this

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. A different version of the game may use a different rule. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
